Games are a great party ice breaker. See below for some great, easy to organise baby shower games.
Game One - ‘Don’t Say Baby’
When each guests arrive give them a soother on a string to wear around their necks and tell them that they are not allowed to say the word ‘baby’. If another guest hears them say the word ‘baby’ they must hand their soother to the guest they were talking to. The guest with the most number of soothers at the end of the party wins a prize.
Game Two - T-shirt Design
Buy blank t-shirts and special t-shirt design pens. Split the guests up into threes or fours and get them to design a t-shirt for the mother-to-be. They then model their t-shirt and mum-to-be decides on the winning team.
Game Three - Change The Nappy
Pair the guests up and put a baby doll in the middle of the room. Each pair is given a chance to put a nappy on the baby, the only problem is they can only use one hand each. The quickest pair wins.
Game Four - Baby Pictionary
Organise a flip chart and some coloured pens. Write about 50 baby terms on separate pieces of paper, fold them up and put them into a hat. Split the guests into teams, one person from the first team picks out a term and has one minute to draw the term for their team to guess. If their team guesses correctly then they get one point.
Each team in turn has a go and each person in the team should get a turn at drawing. The winning team is the one with the most points.
Some terms to get you started are:
Birth
Bottle
Nappy
Teething
Crying
Pregnant
High Chair
Cot
Daddy
